As founder, one of the toughest questions I am asked by incoming interns and prospective team members is, who is your favorite client? Answering this question is like picking a favorite child. One would never do that, except of course, my mom. And for the record, I am her favorite and here is a picture to prove it.
Before I answer the question, I want to share how incredibly blessed I feel to have worked with so many innovative brands and purpose driven leaders over the last 17 years. It wasn’t until recently that I sat down and reflected on what the common threads are between all of my “favorite clients”. And to my surprise, this answer was much simpler, my favorite client is one that inspires me.
The most recent example of this inspiration came during our collaboration with Cognizant’s Launchpad Program. 10 teams were selected from a pool of over 250K employees around the world. Having spent a few days each week for a month in Boulder, Colorado and documenting the different startup leads, I can tell you that this is great inspiration for how enterprise brands will leverage startup methodology while still being a Fortune 500. I can’t wait to see some of these ideas turn into the next Uber or Warby Parker!
