Here at DHD Films we love providing innovative and powerful video content for our clients, especially when we can also support a great cause at the same time. Strut Your Mutt is a yearly event hosted by the SPCA of Texas, where pet owners and their furry friends participate in a 5k run/walk to help put a permanent end to animal cruelty. SPCA of Texas approached us to produce a highlight video of the event, and being animal lovers and proud pet owners ourselves (our studio mascot, Posh, below), we jumped at the opportunity.
Since this is fast paced event with a lot of moving parts, we knew we were going to need to assemble a nimble team to capture all the action. Our drone operator captured great aerial footage of the race which demonstrated the scope of the event. The remainder of the crew focused on getting great soundbites from the interviewees, as well as capturing awesome b-roll of the race and all the adorable canine participants.
The result was a video that not only exemplified the fun race, but also drove home the importance of ending animal cruelty. SPCA of Texas were thrilled with the video and we can’t wait to do similar projects.
