The Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau (ICVB) was looking for an innovative solution. They wanted to strengthen their brand and promote the services of both the Visitors Bureau and Irving Convention Center (ICC). Although they had used video in the past, it had been several years since their last videos had been produced – making it time for an update in content and delivery.

Not too long ago, the delivery of video was limited to DVDs, websites and television. Digital signage was not much of an option and social media was just gaining traction, albeit in a slow and unreliable manner. Of course, today, social media has become the frontrunner of video distribution. ICVB knew they had to take advantage of this powerful delivery system, and that’s why they connected with DHD Films.

ICVB was looking for a partner who understood social media and could creatively tell their story within the boundaries of Facebook, LinkedIn and other online outlets. DHD Films has earned the reputation as a social media leader that delivers impressive results for its clients – creating effective content while strategically placing the media.

Initially, ICVB commissioned DHD Films to produce a series of five videos for both the Visitors Bureau and Convention Center: two 60-second and one 30-second sizzle reels, plus two 60-second digital signage videos. The ICVB videos were bold, upbeat and fast moving, using the theme “Your Ticket To . . .” while employing keywords like “Stay, Play, Taste, Cheer, Explore, This City Rocks, and Love.” To distinguish itself, ICC’s videos were elegant and classy, playing off the theme “A True Work of Art That Works.” A variety of shooting styles and cameras were used to capture all the footage needed for these videos, leveraging everything from a drone to time lapse shots!

DHD has since produced 15-second versions of both organizations’ sizzle reels, three 15-second food clips to highlight the delicious catering services of ICC, and four 15-second client testimonials. All of these videos will be used on their social media sites, websites and for other digital promotions.

It’s growing partnerships like the Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau that allows DHD Films to continue to successfully advance influential brands into the future.
