Description 

As a Motion Graphic Designer at DHD Films, you will bring your passion for storytelling and design to life by creating captivating motion graphics that leave a lasting impression on audiences. You will leverage your strong sketching, creative and graphic design skill sets, along with a background in animation to create 2D and 3D motion designs that meet the needs of clients.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for assisting with the creation of style frames, storyboards, and full-on graphics packages, all while ensuring that our projects maintain a consistent visual identity.

Your work will span a range of mediums, including video, digital signage, and social media, and will help to build and maintain strong brand identities for the company and its clients. You will maintain close communication with the producer and other team members to ensure consistency and quality across all projects, as well as stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.

As a Motion Graphic Designer, you will be part of a dynamic and creative team that is dedicated to producing high-quality design work. You will report directly to the Art Director and collaborate with other designers, animators, and filmmakers to bring ideas to life. Responsibilities and Duties

• Award-worthy Motion Graphic Designs that are flexible across many mediums
• Quality control through content review
• Pitch, design, direct and produce work in a deadline-driven environment
• 5-minute morning standup with Art Director
• Completing weekly assigned design work – concepts, style frames, storyboards, animation assets, etc.
• Implementing client feedback
• Site visits to prep for new projects or to see your work in action

A Motion Graphic Designer is a Swiss army knife on all things design; a person who can generate ideas from scratch but also take creative direction, who is willing to put time, effort, and personality into their work. Motion Graphic Designers operate with creative freedom as they’re trusted to bring branded flavor and pop to our projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in professional motion graphic design
• A strong portfolio of sample projects demonstrating experience and skills
• Strong sense of timing, typography, and color
• Strong team communication skills
• Responsive to feedback
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects
• Advanced knowledge of After Effects
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud products (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Animate, Acrobat)
• Preferred experience: Maya and/or Cinema 4D, premier pro
• Familiarity with post-production video workflow
