As an Account Executive, you will be the driving force behind our efforts to build and maintain relationships with companies that are committed to working with minority-owned businesses. This includes conducting market research, prospecting potential clients, and building strong relationships with decision-makers. In addition, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and production, to develop compelling proposals that meet the client’s needs and showcase our unique value proposition. This position will report to Head of Sales & Marketing.

The ideal candidate will have experience in sales, preferably in a B2B environment, with a proven track record of success in identifying and closing deals. Experience working with procurement or supplier diversity teams is a must. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a results-driven mindset, are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities and Duties​

  • Identifying and researching potential clients
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Attend local events to network
  • Prepare and submit RFPs as necessary to meet the needs of the organization
  • Coordinating with sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals
  • Negotiating contract terms with clients and communicating with stakeholders
  • Monitoring project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed
  • Gathering useful information from customer and competitor data
  • Making and giving presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
  • Tracking, identifying, and adding qualified prospects to sales pipeline
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop award submissions and case studies

Qualifications and Skills​

  • At least 5 years of Sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment
  • At least 2 years of experience working with procurement or supplier diversity teams
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to convey ideas and information clearly and effectively
  • Dedicated to delivering high-quality work and exceeding expectations
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Work independently and take initiative
