When DHD Films launched the Healthcare Heroes campaign last month in support of the brave members of the medical community, we never imagined the outpouring of support the campaign would receive. From partner organizations to past and present clients, the outreach and messages of hope and inspiration were too many to count. What was even more encouraging was that we kept hearing the question, “How can I help?”
Searching for Ways to Help
One discussion that grew out of our efforts was with our friends at Energy Transfer. For decades, Energy Transfer has played a critical role in our country’s economy, providing safe and efficient transportation of oil and natural gas. Moreover, Energy Transfer has a deep commitment to supporting our local community through civic and philanthropic endeavors. Energy Transfer was looking for a way to help out during the current Coronavirus pandemic, and inspiration struck when they came across the Healthcare Heroes campaign.
Dallas Healthcare Heroes
DHD Films and Energy Transfer lost no time in crafting a plan for the new Dallas Healthcare Heroes. Energy Transfer has committed to donate $50 per “thank you” video submitted, up to a total of $100,000 to Parkland Foundation’s Public Health Preparedness Fund, and the videos have started pouring in. “We are so fortunate to have one of the best public healthcare systems in the country here in our city and we are honored to be able to help support their efforts,” said Chris Curia, Energy Transfer’s Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer.
“We are extremely grateful to Energy Transfer and DHD Films for selecting Parkland Foundation as the beneficiary of their Dallas Healthcare Heroes campaign,” says Michael A. Horne, EdD, President and CEO, Parkland Foundation. “Their generosity will have a broad impact across the Parkland system, from providing the resources needed to care for our community during this pandemic to boosting the morale among our front line caregivers and staff.”
Just the Beginning
“We anticipate our partnership with Energy Transfer is the first of many to merge the campaign’s efforts to thank healthcare workers with financial gifts for public healthcare systems nationwide,” said Shezad Manjee, DHD Films Founder and Creative Director. We’re inspired by the number of organizations wanting to help push our idea further than we thought possible. What began as a wish to say “Thank You” to the medical professionals in our lives has expanded into a campaign that will make a significant impact in their lives, and the lives of those benefiting from all their work. Join the cause and submit your own “Thank You” video.
